Genumedi and CEP skiing socks have been awarded for their product design

medi has been awarded the red dot: product design 2011, the international known design prize, for two products with the medi compression technology at once.
The knee support Genumedi and the CEP skiing compression socks have been awarded the prestigious prize for the best product design, for which a total of 1,700 companies from 60 countries applied for with 4,433 products.
More than 1,000 guest fromt the world of design, industry, society and media will celebrate the winners of the red dot design award on 4 July 2011- traditionally in the opera house in Essen, the Aalto theatre. Then the Genumedi knee support and the CEP skiing compression socks will be presented at a four-week special exhibition at the red dot design museum.
The red dot awards exists since 1955: For the international acceptance of the contest a jury of renowned designers and experts judges the submitted products out of 18 categories according to strict test criteria and chooses the winners. The "red dot" seal of quality offers consumers valuable guidance, and is an important decision-making aid for buyers. So a red dot award is seen as one of the most important design prizes in Europe.
